Amanda Oedekoven
Veterinarian
Growing up on a very rural ranch and timberland, Amanda had a strong fondness for animals. She began raising Mini Rex through 4-H, FFA, and ARBA as a youth. Rabbits were postponed to pursue a BS in Animal Science and her Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine. Originally a mixed animal veterinary practitioner in cattle country, she now practices small animal medicine and surgery. She is passionate about the development of these breeds along with her growing children in an animal husbandry lifestyle.
Deena Shotzberger
Retired Silviculturist and Wildland Fire Fighter
Deena raised Amanda and her sister with their plethora of livestock and pets. After attending MANY ARBA shows with her daughter and grandchildren, she decided to branch out to work on developing a quality line of chocolate Mini Rex. She has ambitious goals on creating a new variety of Polish in the near future as her next project so stay tuned!
